Tottenham: Antonio Conte hints he will sign new contract amid Juventus rumors | Soccer | sport

Antonio Conte has already signaled his intention to entrust his future to Tottenham. Speculation surrounded the end of last season that the Italian was ready to leave the club if the opportunity wasn’t right and as recently as this week he was linked with a return to his former club Juventus .

However, despite a long history of staying at clubs for only a few seasons, Conte has previously told the club’s president and chief executive of football that he feels more comfortable at Tottenham. “The most important thing for me is that I really like working with Tottenham, with these players in particular, and the relationship with Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici is good,” he said.

“I’m fine, and I think the club is happy with this situation.” Conte signed for 18 months when he joined the club in November 2021, with the club able to exercise a one-year extension at the end of this season.

The 53-year-old says it’s not about the contract – but will discuss by the end of the season – whenever appropriate. “If the club and the manager want to work together, they will continue to work together,” he said. “If they don’t want to work together, they end up.

“Otherwise, I don’t see a problem. I don’t see any other situation. I think at the right time I will make the best decision. Right now, I’m really happy. What’s more, he called people ‘disrespectful’ for linking him to replacing underdog Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus,

He said: “It’s unbelievable that in this period it’s disrespectful to the coach who works at Juventus. And disrespectful to me working for Tottenham. We have just started the season. Many times I have spoken about this subject and I always say that I am enjoying my time with Tottenham.

But at the same time, it’s a timely reminder for Tottenham that their manager remains a hot property. “For the club, it’s a good investment to have a coach like me and my staff,” said Conte.
