Thyssenkrupp Aerospace and Saab sign the renewal of their partnership


thyssenkrupp Aerospace and Saab have announced that they will extend their partnership. Under the new agreement, the company will become the materials supplier for Saab’s contractors worldwide. Aerospace and supply chain experts will support warehousing and quality inspection activities for the Swedish aircraft manufacturer.

thyssenkrupp Aerospace, a thyssenkrupp Materials Services company, has supported Saab in the supply of raw materials since 2008. Under the new contract, thyssenkrupp Aerospace will additionally handle all warehousing and quality inspection activities for Saab, as well as their subcontractors. With its global presence and relationships with major material producers, thyssenkrupp Aerospace will be the gateway to quality for Saab partners worldwide.

“The renewed partnership with Saab is another example of our ‘Materials as a Service’ strategy,” said thyssenkrupp Aerospace Finland Managing Director Petri Laaksonen. “Since the start of our relationship, we have continuously expanded our range of services and are proud to have been able to earn the trust of Saab. Through precise planning and production of near-net-shape parts with waterjet cutting, thyssenkrupp Aerospace claims to improve sustainability and cost for its customers. Smart transport routes and streamlined logistics enable further CO savings2in line with the sustainability strategy of thyssenkrupp Materials Services and Saab.
