Oman Data Park and Vodafone sign a strategic partnership agreement


Oman Data Park (ODP), the Sultanate’s leading cybersecurity and managed cloud services provider, and the Omani Future Telecommunication Company – Vodafone – have signed a strategic partnership agreement under which ODP will provide cloud services, colocation services , managed security services and managed infrastructure services to Vodafone in the Sultanate.

The signed agreement reflects both parties’ future vision on the importance of enabling technology to serve the national economy in line with Oman’s vision 2040, which emphasizes the need to provide technical solutions that contribute to localize technology in the Sultanate, to keep pace with the requirements of the fourth industrial revolution and to create wider horizons for the use of modern technologies in various fields of activity.

The signing of the agreement also reflects the confidence of international companies such as Vodafone in local companies and their abilities to provide technical solutions that save time, reduce operational costs and speed up the work process.

In a press release on the occasion, Engineer Maqbool Al Wahaibi, CEO of Oman Data Park Company, said: “As a pioneering Omani company in all its fields of work, our involvement in a strategic partnership with Vodafone as a global company in the fields of telecommunications is considered an affirmation of Oman Data Park’s ability to provide colocation and cloud services locally to various businesses, including advanced telecom companies”.

He added: We are proud that the services offered by ODP through its own Tier 3 certified data centers hosted locally in Rusayl, Duqm and Wattayah, and cybersecurity services through its Cyber ​​Security Park Center, will help deliver services high quality for Vodafone to meet its needs in this regard.
