College is great for some people, but it’s not for everyone. Personally, I enjoyed going to a four-year college and learned a lot, but there are plenty of non-college training options that allow students to earn incredible pay after graduation. This article is a good overview of high-paying jobs available to those who are not taking the college route.

The crew at Indeed.com compiled a list of 50 high-paying jobs in Michigan that you can get without a bachelor’s degree. They note that “there are a variety of jobs in Michigan for those looking to find a career right out of high school,” adding that “these roles tend to be in business sectors where employees can learn from members of the more experienced team that understand what types of positions offering on-the-job training and immediate employment can help you accelerate your career. »

The count is based on the most recent salary information from Indeed. Scrolling through this list, a few of these ideas raise an eyebrow, like “professional blogger”. I know a lot of bloggers who don’t make close to $86,000, but it’s apparently a lucrative business for those with a large following and heavy web traffic. Other jobs include nuclear reactor operator, solar sales consultant and real estate broker, all of whom the study finds earn nearly $100,000 a year. An exciting job on the count is as a criminal investigator, who earns more than $100,000 a year, according to Indeed, and “collects evidence to help solve cases.” Sounds like a fun job to me!

The Indeed study breaks down the 15 highest paying jobs without a four-year degree, then lists 19 additional high-paying jobs that don’t require a degree and 16 high-paying jobs that only require a certificate. Read on for the full list of positions and find more information via Indeed here.
