Liverpool, Arsenal and Milan vying to sign Real Madrid outcast in January

Real Madrid will be aiming for another win – their eighth of the season in all competitions – when they take on RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

Los Blancos enter the game with three players unavailable as Karim Benzema, Lucas Vazquez and Eder Militao have been left out of the squad due to injury concerns.

Like Real Madrid, RB Leipzig also have several fitness issues in their squad and will be without three players for the trip to the Spanish capital.

As MARCA report, RB Leipzig will have to be without Spain international Dani Olmo, versatile defender Lukas Klostermann and midfield stalwart Konrad Laimer for the Real Madrid clash.

Among the trio, Olmo’s absence is a blow to Leipzig given the value he brings to the table with his versatility and attacking nature.

Laimer is also a key part of this Leipzig setup and is the latest to get injured. The Austrian international is set to be out for several weeks after injuring his ankle ligament in Leipzig’s 3-0 win over Borussia Dortmund last weekend.

With Laimer unavailable, Kevin Kampl and Xaver Schlager could form the midfield double pivot to Die Roten-Bullen Wednesday night.

And although they will miss Olmo and Poulsen, there is plenty of threat in the attacking unit with Timo Werner, Christopher Nkunku, Dominik Szoboszlai and Andre Silva.

Yussuf Poulsen, who suffered a thigh injury, returned to the bench against Dortmund at the weekend and will provide more depth in the final third.

Leipzig haven’t had the best start to the new season and have already changed managers, replacing Domenico Tedesco with Marco Rose. They hope to build on their win over Dortmund and collect all three points at the Bernabeu.
