IIM Bodh Gaya and WALMI from Bihar sign MoU. The IIM will train engineers, managers of the Water Resource department – Edexlive

On September 30, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya and the Water and Land Management Institute (WALMI) Bihar. In this regard, IIM Bodh Gaya and the Government of Bihar aim to conduct a specialized training program for engineers and officials of the water resources department, as stated in a report by PTI.

The MoU was signed by Director of IIM Bodh Gaya, Dr. Vinita S Sahay and Director of WALMI Padma Kant Jha. Also, the Minister of Water Resources of Bihar, Sanjay Kumar Jha was present on the occasion.

Sharing his view, the Minister said, “The motive behind the specialized training of our engineers and civil servants is to equip them with essential skills, time management and to enable them to better face complex challenges at work” .

“I am sure that the training programs would help our engineers to deal with daily challenges very effectively. The MoU will also include the development of effective time management skills among the engineers,” the minister said.

“Our Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, was himself an engineer. The CM always asks officials to complete projects within set deadlines. This MoU aims to provide expertise to engineers that will enable them to work more efficiently” , he added.
