ECD Automotive Design builds bespoke Jaguar E-Types in the US


ECD Automotive Design (ECD), a global authority on luxury restomods, is back. Instead of retrofitting the Land Rover Defender or the Range Rover, they opted for the Jaguar E-Type, one of the most iconic cars ever built. ECD’s International Logistics Division has purchased and transferred to the United States three vintage Jaguar E-Types from Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom to serve as the basis for the company’s bespoke restored Jaguar E-Types . Restoration of classic vehicles will take place at ECD’s modern 100,000 square foot restoration facility in Kissimmee, Florida.

ECD Automotive Design has taken an already splendid vehicle and transformed it into an unforgettable car that respects the lifestyle choices of its owner. At each stage, the restoration process takes into account the needs and desires of the driver. As such, the customer begins the extraordinary, highly personalized journey by choosing between a 2 Series and a 3 Series. From there, they select the Coupe or Roadster, before moving on to braking systems, suspension options , sports exhaust and transmission options. . Naturally, the customer also chooses one of the heritage paint colors used on Jaguar cars from the 1960s to the 1980s, which is then paired with ‘a hand-upgraded leather interior’. Drivers who want a more modern feel can also choose one of the exterior colors that Jaguar uses for its 2023 range, which again comes with a Jaguar Napa leather option. There is an optional selection of Spinneybeck leathers, and customers can choose between aged leather, hand weave and leather weave.

The bespoke E-Type Jaguars have a starting price of $299,995 and ECD will deliver the first unit fitted with a Tesla electric drivetrain in Spring/Summer 2023. Customers interested in these cars should act quickly as ECD plans to complete 10 to 12 of these improved designs. each year, with nine units already ordered.
