2,100 students graduate in Ambala: The Tribune India

Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed University), Mullana, held its annual convocation ceremony today, and around 2,100 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees were awarded at the ceremony.

Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Culture, Arjun Ram Meghwal was present as the chief guest and delivered the convening speech.

No less than 72 students obtained Ph.D., 7 students obtained DM/MCh degree, 645 students obtained Master’s degree and 1,418 obtained Bachelor’s degree in various fields such as engineering, medical, paramedical, applications IT, business management, nursing, physiotherapy, hospitality. management, law, pharmacy and dental sciences. Arjun Ram Meghwal commended the students for their excellent academic performance and urged them to use all available facilities and bring glory to their families and alma mater.

The Chancellor, Dr. Tarsem Kumar Garg, presented the medals to 57 deserving students and said the university provided students with quality holistic education, knowledge, skills and values.

The Vice Chancellor, Dr. Harish Sharma presented the annual report of the university and shared that it has been accredited with the highest rating of A++ by the National Board of Assessment and Accreditation and had been ranked 91 among the best universities in India by NIRF-2022.
